Haylee is 17 now and just started her senior year of high school. There has been no dating up to this point, but now she has her first boyfriend and got to go to her first school dance…Homecoming!
Haylee and Daniel had dinner here first and then got ready to go. I made them shrimp scampi, garlic toast, and a chopped Caesar salad so it would feel just a little bit fancy before this special occasion.
Her dress was made of the most beautiful fabric, and I loaned her my sapphire and diamond necklace to go with it.

So sweet! They are super cute together. They headed over a little late on purpose but said it was actually pretty boring, so they didn’t stay that long. They said the music wasn’t good, no one was dancing, and it was burning hot inside the school cafeteria, like someone forgot to turn on the A/C! They even saw the principal fiddling with the air vents. So they ended up coming back after a couple of hours, and I took them out for Slurpees instead! That’s the Burgess way to end the evening!
